Here is a recent project hot off the chassis jig. It is my own interpretation of the ever popular Chassis Research dragster chassis.
Much of this was built using the original prints. I used as many pictures as I could find for reference, but it was somewhat of a task, as many of these were sold originally as kits, so it is virtually impossible to find two alike.
The cage is as the print spec, 24 1/2″ tall. The wheelbase is extended, as the later CR were offered.
The main bottom tubes are .120 wall, vs the original .083.
The main cage hoops are 1 1/2″ x .120 D.O.M. tubing, vs 1 3/4″ .090 E.R.W.
I will be taking orders for these, and can accommodate certain changes such as cage height, wheelbase, etc.
THIS CHASSIS IS NOT DESIGNED TO SPECIFICALLY CONFORM TO ANY CURRENT SANCTIONING BODY RULES OR REGULATIONS.
